Ali son J Williams provides professional counselling services to individuals. These services are delivered via:

• In-person sessions in Adelaide, South Australia.
• Online/Telehealth platforms.

2. Professional Relationship

Counselling is a collaborative process. While Ali Williams is a trained professional, the outcome of counselling depends significantly on the client’s engagement. Counselling is not a substitute for emergency psychiatric care. If you are in an immediate crisis, please contact Emergency Services (000) or Lifeline (13 11 14).

3. Bookings and Payments

• All session fees are communicated at the time of booking.
• Payments are due [e.g., at the time of booking / within 24 hours of the session].
• Alison J Williams reserves the right to suspend services if invoices remain unpaid.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. To ensure the viability of the practice and fairness to other clients on the waiting list, the following policy applies:

• 48-Hour Notice: A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
• Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice you may be charged a $50 fee.  If you fail to attend a scheduled session (No-Show), the full session fee will be charged.
• Telehealth Technical Issues: For online sessions, please ensure a stable internet connection. If technical issues arise, Ali Williams will attempt to contact you via telephone to complete the session.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy is of the utmost importance. Alison J Williams complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

• Personal Information: We collect personal information only to provide high-quality counselling services.
• Third Parties: Personal information is not shared with third parties for marketing or any other purpose without your express written consent.
• Limits to Confidentiality: Confidentiality is maintained at all times except where:
  1. There is a legal obligation to disclose  (e.g., a subpoena).
  2. There is an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others.
  3. A child or vulnerable person is at risk of harm.

6. Telehealth Services

Clients engaging in Telehealth must ensure they are in a private, quiet space to maintain their own confidentiality. Alison J Williams uses secure, encrypted platforms for online sessions, but cannot be held responsible for security breaches occurring on the client’s device or network.

7. Intellectual Property
